About This Site

This site aims to consolidate all of my blog posts and YouTube videos into one place, making them easy to find! They are aimed at other beginners and enthusiastic amateur technologists who want to learn something they can implement at home.

Although I would love to incorporate as much as possible, the primary focus (and my primary interest) is in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, NextJS and Express.

About Me

I created this site and my YouTube channel to connect with other enthusiastic (but amateur) programmers and tech enthusiasts. Despite having a Computer Science degree from a UK university, and having spent over 20 years in the software industry I have never been a professional programmer.

In a lot of ways that has helped me to keep my passion and I love to build projects without ever having to worry about whether I can make it as a pro, or whether an idea is really going to take off. It's all for fun, and that idea of programming for fun is what I want to promote.

With AI tools speeding up professional development and standardising a lot of apps and websites, I hope that we can inject some more personality into the space through tinkering and playing with the new tools that we have available!
